Knit A Long Ron Weasley Blanket

Hello Lovelies and welcome to my first knit a long, I will be running it both on my blog and on my youtube so you can choose which ever format suits you, on my Youtube I will be uploading a video each month with four squares to be completed and my blog will have a new post every week with one square. for this first post though I will give you four squares to get started on. There's no need to be strict on you yarn chose and colour choice as molly would have just made this using scrap yarn left over from other projects

You will need
knitting needles or a crochet hook it your chosen size I will be using 3.25mm knitting needles
Yarn in your chosen size and ply I will be using 8ply acrylic for the entire project
A measuring tape in inches.

To start all your squares you will need to cast on or chain until your work reaches 7inches once you have done this the first time you will know how many stitches or chains you will need for each square. Each square will be 7inches by seven inches. if you are knitting use garter stitch for the entire project if you are crocheting use double crochet and chain three as you turn.

Here is the first square it is in golden yellow and is just 7inches by 7inches

Our second square has two colours the first is a red/ maroon for 4inches then chance to white for 3inches and then cast off

The third square is similar to the second square is has light blue for the first 4inches then change to orange for the last 3 inches

For the fourth square, it is just solid orange which I haven't finished yet but here is a pic of the yarn i hand dyed for the square.

The yarn colours used next month will be
Black
White
Dark Blue
Yellow
Multi coloured brown

Here's what yarn i will be using

If you would like to watch the video for this months squares and the introduction here it is.

HAPPY CRAFTING
